Resonant Migration is trombonist Andy Strain and Kevin Shea Adams. An electro-acoustic duo, their work aims to marry elements of movement, sound, and light into unique types of improvisational systems. Their original and unique work is performed in various settings - museums, concert halls, mausoleums - just about anywhere they can throw light and sound. This system tracks the trombone bell using infrared and synthesizes both video and audio from the microphone’s signal. Coded in Max/MSP + Jitter.
